Peter Moyle
The University of Queensland, QLD, Australia
Dr Moyle is an Associate Professor and Director of Higher Degrees by Research at the University of Queensland School of Pharmacy. He received his BPharm(Hons) in 2001 and his PhD in 2007, both from the University of Queensland, Australia. Following his doctoral studies, Dr Moyle completed postdoctoral training at Rockefeller University under Professor Tom Muir (2007-2011), where he advanced chemical biology techniques to study post-translational modifications. Returning to Australia in 2011, he focused on integrating protein engineering, vaccine development, and synthesis to create platforms that incorporate immunostimulatory agents into recombinant proteins, aiming to elicit potent and specific immune responses. Since joining the University of Queensland School of Pharmacy in 2014, Dr Moyle has specialized in peptide drug optimization, antimicrobial formulations for superbug infections, vaccine development, and targeted delivery systems for nucleic acid-based therapeutics. He is also dedicated to teaching and coordinating undergraduate and postgraduate courses in drug development, formulation, and therapeutics.
